Re: GNU/Linux Expo

Hi all I had contacted Richard Stallman to be one of the speakers. He said he couldnt come, but mentioned that we should think about changing the conference title to GNU/Linux if we want him to come in the coming years. His mail is attached below. KAR. -- I couldn't possibly make it, because I will be in India then. In general I don't like to go to events that are named "Linux", because I don't like the GNU system to be lumped in with "Linux". I feel that if people would like me to go to the effort of coming and giving a speech, they ought to recognize our work in the customary way: by calling our system by the name we gave it in 1984. If you do that I will make sure to come next year (assuming you tell me far enough in advance that the date is not taken, and that the expenses get covered somehow).
