I never used ftape or installed a tape drive before but I got my hands =
on a Colorado T3000 internal that runs on the same cable as my 3 1/2 =
inch disk drive. I plugged it in and tried modprobe ftape, zftape but =
dont have ftape-internal.o in my modules. I downloaded and started =
reading and trying things from ftape 4.03, tools etc before I read that =
ftape was in already in the recent kernels. Anyway when I "mt -f =
/dev/nqft0 status" without a tape in the drive I get a response telling =
me its a Colorado T3000 etc. When I put a tape in the drive the same =
command tells me "device not configured" do I need to modprobe =
ftape-internal?How come I dont have it? I also recently installed =
linux-mandrake 7.1 before I got the tape drive.
