hi,

whenever i log into linux, there is a file manager
which flashes on the screen repeatedly until i do
something with the toolbar like start an xterm.  

im running on a compaq presario 5304, when i maximize
a window, it goes off the edge of the screen, as if
linux thinks the screen is larger than it really is.

can you tell me the info on the installfest tomorrow? 
i dont have anything to install but id like to
watch/help.
