You have free space on your disk from block 1 to block 16064.  You can
make that partition /dev/sda1 and make it a DOS partition (probably VFat
would be best).  Then rerun your install disk.

Make sure that it sees the SCSI card and doesn't go insisting on some
internal IDE interface.
