[UCLA-LUG] GNOME calendar program: name and directory?

I started trying out the GNOME calendar program today on a Mandrake 7.0
KDE desktop (finally, a distro with supermount!). I really liked the
calendar program, but became extremely annoyed that there was no way to
figure out (1) what the program is called (so that i could have a KDE
icon, where the program is automatically opened when i click on the
file) and (2) where the heck it stores its data files (or what the file
is called) by default. So, i can either use the default data file and
not be able to find it (for copying or backing up) or create a new file
and never be able to associate an icon with it.
Nag nag nag... anyway, could anyone tell me what the (executable) name
of the program is and where the default data file is stored?
If these are painfully obvious questions, please point me to where it
was i could have looked for this info on my own. (I've already searched
the GNOME online users' guide.)
Much obliged,
