[UCLA-LUG] VA Research Speaker

Chris expressed his desire to host the event on a weekday as opposed to
the two weekend dates that were mentioned. He said, however, that he
still would be willing to do the weekend dates. I can completely
understand this, as most companies for one reason or another like to host
their events on a weekday. Because this event is to be cohosted by both
CSUA and the LUG, I would like know what dates on a weekday would be
preferable to LUG members. If everyone prefers the weekend dates,
however, we'll stick with those.

In addition, the exact funding matters regarding the event are somewhat
unclear. VA indeed is flying him down, but besides that I'm not certain
what else they are willing to fund. I still have to work some of these
details out with Chris. Chris' intention, however, is to primarily come
and speak. It is not centered around recruiting, although he may
advertise some job opportunities when he comes down if he desires to.
