[UCLA-LUG] RH6 and Mandrake 6 install

Hi there,
Im installing linux onto an extra machine i have here and with both
distributions i have (RH6 and Mandrade 6) the install fails.  RH6 spits
out a:  install exited abnormally -- reciving signal 11; sending
termination signals..done; unmounting filesystems; /tmp/rhimage;
/mnt/proc; /mnt/; /proc; you may safely reboot your system.
This happens while the installation procedure is finding overlapping
files.

And in mandrake, the procedure seems to almost finish, but it just hangs
after selecting NIS and shadow passwords.  I have to ctrl-c to get any
response.

Do you guys have any ideas why this is happening?  I believe i was able to
install mandrake on here previously.
