[UCLA-LUG] VA Research Speaker

Great!  Chris is a great guy... I see him at the SVLUG meetings
regularly, a LUG in which he is the Vice President.  Perhaps a
decent amount of suggestions on running a good LUG can come from
him as well.

I'd say to get the largest room you can and send a message to
the lalugs@onelist.com mailing list when it comes closer to the
actual event.  Definitely at least invite our friends at USC.

Where is the funding for this event coming from?  Is VA flying
him down and sponsoring it?  Is it Chris's intentions to also
use this even to do some recruiting?  (I would be surprised if
he didn't do any of this.)

On the matter of conflicts with CTO, also be careful not to
schedule it when there's a game that's out of town.  You might
want to hold it on a Sunday just so you don't overlap a UCLA
or USC football game on the Saturday.
