[UCLA-LUG] vpn?

I recently had to move away from my workplace and am attempting the holy
grail of the tech worker -- the telecommute. The problem is this: my
office's setup was about 20 boxes sharing one IP through linux IPmasq,
with an internal DNS for the devel servers, etc. To be able to work due to
the interoperation of the boxes, the ideal situation would be if I
appeared to be another box on the IPmasq private reserve subnet.
I have seen a few solutions, but none seem to get me where I want to go.
Especially since I'm on a modem now, ppp over ssh seemed like a good poss.
(compression) -- however I have only been able to find docs that are BSD
specific, or that require dedicated boxes at both ends (as a VPAN.) This
is Not Cool. (TM) Does anyone have experience pulling this sort of thing
off, or any better docs you could point me to?
Thanks,
