Turns out MacOS 10.6 will connect directly to the UCLA Cisco VPN. Much nicer than having to use the add on Cisco client.
To set up:
- Open networking preferences
- Click the plus to add a new connection, select "VPN", select "Cisco IPSec".
- Set Server Address to "vpn.ucla.edu"
- Set Account Name to your BOL user name.
- Click Authentication Settings.
- Enter a Group Name of "UCLAIPSEC"
- Enter the BOL Shared Secret (You'll be required to log into your BOL account to get it).
